1. Your rights at a glance

Subject to legal exceptions, you may have the right to:

• Access — obtain a copy of personal data we hold about you.
• Rectification — correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Erasure — ask us to delete data in certain circumstances (“right to be forgotten”).
• Restriction — ask us to limit processing in certain cases.
• Portability — receive data you provided in a structured, commonly used format where processing is based on consent or contract and carried out by automated means.
• Object — object to processing based on legitimate interests, and to direct marketing.
• Withdraw consent — where we rely on consent, withdraw it at any time without affecting prior lawful processing.

2. How to exercise your rights

Email support@joinazo.com with the subject line “Data rights request” and tell us which right you want to exercise. We may need to verify your identity before responding.

We aim to respond within one month. If a request is complex or numerous, we may extend by up to two further months and will tell you why.

3. Account deletion

You can request closure of your account and deletion of personal data that we no longer need. Some information may be retained where we have a legal obligation or need it for disputes, fraud prevention or accounting (for example payment records).

Content you posted on group or venue profiles may remain visible if it is needed for the integrity of those profiles, or may be anonymised — we will explain options when you contact us.

4. Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

5. Data processors

We use carefully selected processors (hosting, database/auth, payments, email). They process data only on our instructions and under appropriate contracts. See our Privacy Policy for more detail.
